Mary Barrett, AnnaMaria's mum, passed away last night. She was a wonderful woman and well be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts are with AnnaMaria, Gene, Aodan and the girls.

The committee have decided to make an amendment to the age requirement to become a Junior member with Shannon Musical Society this year. Anybody under 18 who wishes to become a junior member must turn 16 on or before the 1st of September 2009. Junior Membership forms can be obtained from Daniel Flannagan at

Beauty & the Beast Launch Night

SMS will be holding a launch night for its forthcoming production of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast in the Oakwood Arms Hotel on Wednesday September 9 at 8:00pm.
